Anti-Malaria Campaign

Malaria still continues to be one of the deadly diseases in Sub-Saharan Africa, taking the lives of millions of children under 5 years and pregnant women even though it is curable and preventable.

The H4P Organization’s Anti-Malaria Campaign is aimed at preserving the next generation of Africa’s future leaders. Key to our campaign is the Free Distribution of Insecticide Treated Nets (ITN’s) to residents in malaria high risk areas in Ghana, because the use of ITN’s has shown to give substantial protection against malaria.
The H4P Organization has therefore distributed thousands of Insecticide Treated Nets for free to residents in the Greater Accra, Western and Eastern Regions in Ghana.

Public Education is one of the avenues the H4P Organization uses to reach out to people and create awareness about malaria and its prevention. We therefore organize seminars for health workers, Opinion leaders and Community Based Agents (CBA’s) to educate them on the current trends in the diagnosis, treatment and management of malaria as well as the prevention of malaria in pregnancy.

The H4P Organization is passionate about the prevention of Malaria that is killing millions of children and pregnant mothers and we are appealing of companies and individuals to partner with us to fight against malaria.

The H4P Organization adopted the “Free Distribution of ITNs” as one of our strategies to curb the malaria menace in Ghana, based on findings from researches proving the efficacy of using ITN’s in reducing malaria.
Through H4P’s Free Distribution of ITNs, thousands of households in Ghana have received free ITNs to protect them against the deadly malaria.
H4P through our Anti-Malaria Campaign has reached out to residents in the Greater Accra, Western and Eastern Regions of Ghana.

The role of health personnel in managing malaria cannot be trivialized, since they are the final point of call in the management and treatment of malaria.
Resistance to anti-malarial drugs is one of the hurdles yet to be crossed, when it comes to the control of malaria in Africa. Research has proven that the parasite causing malaria, Plasmodium falciparum has developed resistance to almost all the anti-malarial drugs currently in use. It is therefore imperative to keep health personnel up to date with current trends in the management and treatment of Malaria in order to effectively manage the disease.
In partnership with the Ministry of Health, Coalition of NGOs in Malaria and Malaria Control Program, H4P has organized several health seminars in Ghana as part of their anti-malaria campaign.
